Malta’s annual summer highlight is set to land with SummerDaze Festival making its highly anticipated return this August, boasting its biggest headliners to date, in partnership with Universal Music Group. Headlining this year’s festival is multi-platinum, GRAMMY and BRIT award winning cultural innovator, SAM SMITH, who will perform an unforgettable full set from their Gloria Blackout Tour. Speaking about their upcoming performance, Sam Smith said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be taking to the stage in Malta for the first time at SummerDaze. It looks like a beautiful island, with an incredible music culture – and I can’t wait to bring Gloria to life for everyone there on the night!” Supporting is one of the UK’s most in-demand pop-powerhouses, BECKY HILL, alongside Shaun Farrugia. Together with BBC RADIO 1 Dance Anthems’, Charlie Hedges and friends DJing, this is the live music event of the summer you cannot miss. All artists will perform at Ta’ Qali National Park on Thursday 15th August in collaboration with BBC RADIO 1 Dance Anthems, Universal Music Group and Creamfields.
Supporting the main show, a series of satellite events will take place across the island throughout the week. Kicking off with PURPLE DISCO MACHINE at Café Del Mar on the 11th of August, followed by two memorable Boat Parties around the breathtaking Maltese islands on the 12th and 13th of August. On the 14th of August, MEDUZA and JAMES HYPE will take over UNO Malta for their Malta debut of OUR HOUSE, ahead of the main event at Ta’Qali National Park on the 15th. On the 16th of August, festival goers will experience the best of Hip Hop, RnB and Reggaeton with VIDA LOCA at UNO Malta and on the 17th of August UNO Malta will welcome guests once again for the first ever BBC Radio 1 LIVE BROADCAST. This will be followed by the final day of the festival on the 18th of August with KUNGS & DANNY HOWARD closing off the festival with one final night at Café Del Mar.
SummerDaze week will run from Sunday 11th to Sunday 18th August.
